More or less active?!

I am now 9 months preggo, my baby girl has been ALOT more active at night the past 2-3 nights, I mean so active other people can see her movin from across the room... She has never really been this active and I was wondering who experienced what? was your baby more or less active closer to delivery and on into labor? What were some other symptoms you had a couple days before labor started, thanks for the advice....
