Pro's and con's of using a landline home phone vs. cell phone?

I'm getting married and we are buying a house. My fiancee does not want a house phone, but I do....what do you recommend? He thinks our cell phones are good enough and will save us money. Do any of the pro's and con's outweigh the other?
