To what extent does learning of someone's religious beliefs/unbeliefs change your opinion of that person?

Heh. I remember the same thing about Card. I was reading a collection of his stories "Folk of the Fringe." The first one was great -- can't recall the title. Story by story, Mormon references started creeping in. He's a great writer nonetheless.
