No matter what people say, I think that the collapse of the USSR heralded in the demise of humanity?

A new dark ages is coming to be. The american democratic free market is creating legions of superstitious peasants and religious lunatics both in their own country and in the rest of the world. Everyone seems hell bent on destroying everything good and rational and sensible in the name of democracy or religion. No one seems to want to do anything at all. Why ??
