Need advice regarding lanlord, Please Help?

We moved into landlords home and began having problems. We’ve asked her to fix certain things like the electrical outlets which are exposed and some not working properly, she is upset that we requested all those items to be fixed, only to have her schedule and reschedule the repairman to come fix them. The landlord’s tenant (nephew) in the back taps into the electricity and gas and she only deducts $50.00 per month, and the electricity bill is high. She does not have a copy of the lease, because she keeps asking us for one, we have a copy. She is requesting that we sign a new one. Since she does not have a copy of the lease, we gave her a 30 notice that we are vacating her property and she says she is taking us to court for the remainder of the lease; does she have a case against us?
