Channels lost on ntl cable?

I have the basic ntl cable channels in ireland upstairs and for a while now i have lost channel 4, discovery, e4 and living channels, i read from other questions that you were meant to add in the new frequencies to get them back but i have done this and still the channels don't show anymore, anyone have any solutions? thanks
